Albany Baby Photographer: Happy First Birthday Asher!

One of the many reasons I love my job as an Albany Baby Photographer is the satisfaction I get from helping my clients celebrate and document their family’s special moments and milestones!  I have been photographing the Rahman family for over a year now and the first time I did, sweet Asher was still in his mommy’s belly!  It has been so special to watch this beautiful family grow and to watch Asher grow over the last year and I’m so grateful to be a part of their lives!

When mom first contacted me about her idea for a silver and blue backdrop I was excited to try something new!  For all of my previous cake smash sessions I’ve used streamers.  This time we used paper and I couldn’t be happier with how the backdrop came out!  And let’s just talk about the adorable crown Asher is wearing in his photos!  I’m so glad he decided to leave it on because it was perfect!  The gorgeous cake was designed by Sprinkleista in Schenectady and was very well received by Asher 🙂

We started out the session with some photos of Asher and his awesome big sister Kaura who helped to keep him seated!  These two are adorable together and it’s hard to believe they are 3.5 years apart since Asher is almost as big as Kaura!  We even did a few pictures of just Kaura because with a smile like her’s, how could you not?!  Once all of our “nice” photos were out of the way, we moved on to the main event: The Cake Smash!  It never gets old watching a one year old destroy a cake and Asher did not disappoint us!  At first he could not believe that the entire cake was just for him!  He was a little hesitant about getting in there, but quickly warmed up to the idea!  Judging by his grin, I’d say he enjoyed celebrating his First Birthday!  I know I sure did 🙂
