Walking into the Macaluso’s home for their in-home lifestyle session, I knew I was in for a great time. Their bright and airy house was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season; even down to the perfectly matched red chair next to the fireplace. I can’t think of a better place to read a Christmas story and that’s just what we did! Lincoln and Brayden’s grandparents also joined us for the family’s session. It was such a natural and easy setting to photograph two little boys in. They played, opened presents, read stories, decorated the Christmas tree, and hung out as family; enjoying one anothers’ company while I snapped away and documented the most magical time of the year!
Annie had originally hoped for me to capture family photos at a Christmas tree farm, but after an attempt in 20 degree weather we decided on an in-home lifestyle session instead. I am so glad we were unsuccessful the first time and were able to meet up for a second session at their home! The entire time I was editing this session a was grinning from ear to ear. In-home lifestyle sessions are my absolute favorite. The natural setting gives everyone the chance to be themselves and for me to capture the true connections, love, and gestures between family members. Lincoln and Brayden won’t be little forever, but these images will always remind their parents (and grandparents!) what Christmas was like with two very little boys!
Thank you for inviting me into your home, Macaluso Family! I hope you have a happy and healthy 2018!
