Tremblay Family Photos and Baptism in Slingerlands

When I pulled up to the Tremblay’s Slingerlands home a couple of week ago I was greeted by a skeleton head with blinking red eyes in their front yard.  I immediately knew I was going to love this family.  I was met at the door by two adorable dachshunds – Shakes and Belly.  Honestly, could their names be any cuter?  Jim let me into their home while Jessica finished getting baby James ready for his first photo shoot.  When Jessica came into the room she met me with the brightest, friendliest smile that you can see over and over again in their family photos below.  Jessica is warm, genuinely sweet, and kind.  She makes you feel comfortable within seconds of meeting her; as if you’ve been friends for years, not just a couple of weeks via social media.

I began scoping out their front and backyard for the perfect place for outdoor photos at 12pm in the middle of October – not an easy task!  Typically the sun is much too high in the sky for beautifully backlit photos and can cast unwanted shadows on the subject.  Not the case with their beautiful yard!  I found the perfect spot where the light was peeking through the tall trees that lined the far back corner of their yard; so far back that Shakes and Belly’s electric fence didn’t even allow them to venture over.

This was a very special day for Baby James and his Mom and Dad.  Following his family photo shoot in his backyard he was headed off to the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Albany for his Baptism.  At only 4 months old it was a pretty big day for him and I think he handled it like a rockstar, even giving us some big, beautiful baby smiles for me to capture for his parents to hold onto forever.  The first year goes by so quickly and I’m sure Mom and Dad will treasure these pictures long after he starts walking and talking.  His big brown eyes are captivating and his dachshund sweater was the perfect touch for a family picture with his big brother and big sister pups.  Thank you Jessica and Jim for inviting me into your home and into your lives to capture your family and celebration!
